Yvonne Hawke will be the PTO rep next year. Cindy Shea will be the 7th grade rep.
PTO Report: We have a new slate of officers for next year. Work will be starting on the amphitheater. We are working with the staff to spend the remaining PTO funds.
Student Input:
ASB report by Graham Mitchell. BHS officers visited to talk about ASB at the high school. Boxlight is working in the commons. Lunch sports equipment is being purchased soon. T-shirt printing equipment is still being pursued. ($ 1115 approx.) Lauren Abrams added the new electives that are proposed to be offered next year including Spanish & Newspaper Production.
OLD BUSINESS:
Laura Kornfeld provided a summary of the accomplishments of the Student Recognition team this year. Recommendations included email reminders for staff, time during team meetings, board to display names, more staff participation, etc. 8th grade awards will be given at an end of the year assembly during field day to include academic achievements as well as extracurricular awards. It will be done in a way where students will stand and be recognized. Some teachers may give certificates in class. Consider doing away with the parent signature on the Wildly Wonderful Wildcat to get more participation. The asset building survey was found to be very cumbersome and the team recommends including asset building activities with SLC groups. Perhaps it would work better to do the asset survey by team. Suggestion to continue to refine this process in the upcoming year.

Mary Alice provided a SLC Team report. The group is continuing to plan dates and lesson plans for next year and will continue to include a parent survey. The staff will meet one final time with their SLC groups on Thursday, June 7th.

The school board has approved the Newspaper Production elective and was very supportive. An organizational skills class to be called Student Academic Success class and Spanish I will also be up for board approval tomorrow.

The School Improvement Plan was reviewed. Specifics will be shared via a first draft at our next SBC meeting.

NEW BUSINESS: Worked on the SIP for 2007-2008

Next Site base council will held June 13th. Mike has treats.
Meeting was adjourned at 4:48 pm.
Thanks to Robert for the treats.
