Emergency Preparedness
at Woodward Middle School
The following lists of procedures are provided
for your information should we experience an emergency.
PARENT-STUDENT
REUNION PROCEDURES
To
check a student out of school during/after an emergency, the parent/guardian/authorized
adult should:

Have picture ID with them when they arrive;
-
Report to the area designated for student requests;
-
Complete necessary paper work;
-
Proceed as directed to student pick-up area;
-
andWait for student(s) to be escorted to them.
Note:
If
student is unavailable, his/her status will be provided at Student
Release Gate.

Suggested
Emergency Supplies For Your Home
1.
A
three-day supply of water (one gallon per person per day) and
food that won’t spoil.
2.
One
change of clothing and footwear per person and one blanket or
sleeping bag per person.
3.
A
first aid kit that includes your family’s prescription medicine.
4.
Emergency
tools including a battery- powered radio, flashlight, and plenty
of extra batteries.
5.
An
extra set of car keys and a credit card, cash, or traveler’s checks.
6.
Sanitation
supplies.
7.
Special
items for infant, elderly, or disabled family members.
8.
An
extra pair of glasses.
*Keep important family documents in a waterproof
container.
*Keep a smaller emergency kit in the trunk of
your car.
*Ask
an out of state friend to be your “Family Contact”. After a disaster,
it is often easier to call long distance. Other Family members
should call this person and tell them where they are. EVERY FAMILY
MEMBER must know your contact’s phone number.
