   Welcome to team 7A!

Course Overview:

In 7th grade World History we begin with the study of ancient civilizations and move through time concluding with Europe and the Age of Exploration.  We will also immerse you in geography, and by the time you leave 7th grade, you will have in-depth knowledge of our world's geography.

Language Arts will include in-depth writing instruction and regular reading across multiple genres. You will be reading and writing daily, as well as studying poetry and drama. As much as possible World History and Language Arts will be integrated for maximum learning.

In May we begin an integrated Washington Studies unit which includes Language Arts, Social Studies and Science components. In this class we will be studying Washington State history from a conceptual standpoint.  We focus on government, immigration, the land/economy, and citizenship.  Washington Studies is a separate grade and a high school graduation requirement.
