      I am very excited to welcome each of you!  Here is a brief overview of  the art program here at Woodward.

SCULPTURE CLASS- 7TH & 8TH GRADES (One Semester)

In this class you will be given the opportunity to create large clay sculptures, cast pewter and fused glass projects, as well as wire and plaster sculptures. The emphasis will be on exploration and individual expression. You will learn about famous artists and be given the opportunity to work with local guest artists.

DRAWING & PAINTING CLASS 7TH & 8TH GRADES (One Semester)

In this class you will learn how to draw realistically utilizing contour drawing, perspective, shading and figure drawing techniques. Exploring individual styles of expression is an important part of the curriculum. You will be given the opportunity to create your own comic strip. The painting unit will include water color techniques and completing a large acrylic canvas painting. Technique and self expression will be emphasized. You will learn about famous artists and be given the opportunity to work with local artists.
