Welcome to Physical Education at Woodward Middle School
 As an integral part of the total education at WMS, PE provides each student with an opportunity necessary to develop  physical skills, fitness attitudes and knowledge to confidently investigate and participation in a wide variety activities.

Student Objectives and Outcomes:

*To learn rules, skills and strategies covering a wide variety of sports and activities.
*to value participation in sports and leisure activities.
*To appreciate and maintain a level of physical fitness for daily living.
*To display positive sportsmanship when working and playing with others.

A Typical Day in PE May Include:
*Warm ups (flexibility, agility, endurance, coordination and strength.
*Skill drills for the unit currently being studied.
(*Practice time, including rules and test
Info*Tournaments or games incorporating the skills taught during the unit.

Attendance and Participation:

This is a participation class.  You are graded on three major components
1. Participation and attendance. 

2.   Suiting up in your PE uniform.  (Tennis shoes, shorts or sweatpants, T-shirt)

3.   Sportsmanship and Behavior.
