Feb. 12            Science Fair Packets sent home

 

Feb. 12                      Science Fair Kickoff

9:35 - 10:05 a.m.             Science WOW! Assembly

 

March 13                    Last call for Science Fair entry forms.  Pass forms onto your grade level committee member.

 

March 19                   

3:45 - 4:15

6:30-7:30        Science Fair teachers and friends set up tables in the gym. Students may choose to set up in the evening. Each grade will have a color associated with it. the child will be directed to go to one of the five sign-in tables as distinguished by an appropriately colered helium baloon.

 

 

March 20      The Big Day – Science Fair 2008

9:00 - 10:30             Children set up projects in the gym according to grade.  An adult will help them set up their project and then the child will go to class.  (Only children with projects should be in the gym at this time).

 

            Approximate judging schedule (classes will listen for a call on the intercom)

10:00               judging for AM Kindergarten

12:45               judging for 2nd grade and full day Kindergarten

1:10                 judging for PM Kindergarten

1:25                 judging for 3rd grade

1:45                 judging for 4th grade

2:05                 judging for 1st grade

2:30                 judging ends

 

3:00                Clear the gym and attach ribbons to the projects

6:30 – 8:00             Science Fair open (Open House from 6:30 – 7:30pm)

8:00-8:30 Clean Up

 

March 21                   Special award certificates will be in teacher’s boxes to be delivered to students.

 

Ballots will be available for students to vote for their favorite project.  Special awards Wednesday evening. 

 

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

 

All students will get an entry ribbon and an interviewer’s comment certificate.

Banner certificates will be awarded for Kid’s Favorite, etc.

Balloon colors:   K = red     1 = yellow    2 = green    3 = orange     4 = blue
