5/5/08 Social Studies: Finish
Processing 26 and Preview 27. By the end of the week, you
should have finished the geography packet. Make up any
missing work from your mygradebook report.
In
class today, we handed back the test booklets. Students
may make corrections to bring their grade up to an R3.
Changes need to have a short explanation. We did
Processing 26 and Preview 27 and shared our answers. Some
students have still not completed their published copy of their
MAD background essay. |

5/6/08 Social Studies: You
have one of these assignments: If you still have
"missing" or less than R3 on your MAD assignments, GET
CAUGHT UP NOW! Make up any
missing work from your mygradebook report. If you got less
than an R3 on the open book test, make corrections with complete
sentences to improve your grade. If you are on top of
these assignments, work on your Greek god or goddess project.
In
class today, students who are up to date on their MAD project
and workbook got to choose a Greek god or goddess. We will
all do a project on Greek gods and goddesses, but these students
will do the deluxe assignment. In each class, there will
be a few minute presentation of each of the gods. One or
two students may work together. They are encouraged to
have an artistic component. We would love to see some gods
and goddesses in costume! Presentations will be at the end
of next week. Have fun!

your parent to sign your action project journal. Remember
you have to finish the action project this month. Geography
packets are also due tomorrow.
In
class today, we read chapter 27 and discussed whether it would
have been better to live in ancient Sparta or Athens.

5/9/08 Social Studies: Finish
the chapter 27 reading notes if you didn't finish them in
class. Finish any make-up work from your mygradebook
report. Monday is the deadline.
In
class today, we worked on the chapter 27 reading notes and
collected the geography packets.

5/12/08 Social Studies: No
homework. Work on your action project. Since we did not
have class today, students have until tomorrow to turn in
missing social studies assignments. Students who are doing
a Greek god or goddess project should use the time to complete
their presentation.
In
class today, we went to Islandwood and did a great job
of team-building!! |

5/13/08 Social Studies: Finish
Processing 27 and Preview 28 in the workbook.
In
class today, we discussed Preview 28 and started the
chapter 28 reading notes. Students who wanted to watched a
video on LASIK surgery. (They will soon be studying the eye in
health)

5/14/08 Social Studies: Finish
the chapter 28 reading notes.
In
class today, we worked on chapter 28 reading notes and
checked Tuesday's homework. We had an assembly on bicycle
riding/safety, so classes were shorter than usual.
