The Sakai Parent Teacher Organization is for parents who are interested in what’s going on at Sakai It is designed to bring information about the school and the school district to parents. We help raise money for things not covered in the school budget. Some of the things purchased to date include playground equipment, books for our library and field trips. At Sakai, we have one fundraiser, the Math-a-Thon. You will be hearing more about this in the near future and we hope you will encourage your child to participate.

The PTO also helps out in many other ways at Sakai. We sponsor events like the Sakai Welcome Back BBQ and the Sakai September Family Celebration that builds a feeling of community and helps us get to know each other better. PTO also organizes parent volunteers to help out at school If you want to find out about volunteer opportunities, please give volunteer coordinator a call.
If you have a student at Sakai, you are automatically a member of the PTO (no dues required). We meet on the first Friday of every month at 9:30 a.m. at Sakai and the meetings usually run about an hour. Preschool children are always welcome. Please get involved! You’ll be glad you did.
