STUDENTS
1. Thursday and Friday: Bike Riders - Thank you for going green. Since construction fences are making for very narrow walkways please walk your bike while on campus. Thanks.
2. Dear
Spartans: Thank you for such an
enthusiastic turnout at our first UBS meeting!
We want to invite you all back to our second meeting. If you want to meet great people, share and
learn about different cultures, and have lots of fun while making BHS a better
place then, this club was meant for you!
Plan to meet at 3:00 Thursday! We will meet in the lobby outside of the
LGI (100 building), where we will team up to do several group projects. Thanks for making a difference!
3. RE: BREAK: you are on probation. We are having trouble at break and even at lunch with people pushing, crowding, misbehaving. Please form a single line and wait your turn. A suggestion might be to buy muffins, granola bars, snack food in the morning instead of waiting in line during break. We will open for breakfast at 8:00 AM from now on, so there’s time to buy break snacks in the morning before school. Thanks.
4. SENIORS: the next Senior Project Advisory meeting is
next Wednesday, October 3 at 11:40.
This is a half-day early dismissal.
Make sure you meet with your advisor.
Due in to your advisor are the following forms: page 11 Senior Project Contract, page 12
Parent/Guardian Consent, and page 14 Senior Project Proposal. You may download forms from the BHS webpage
under the link "Senior Project".
5. Get
ready for P.A.C. week! P.A.C. stands
for Pack Assorted Colors and it is a fun way to eat more fruits and
veggies. To get the broadest range of
healthy nutrients into our bodies, ALL colors of foods are
important. Each day of P.A.C. week has
been assigned a different color and the goal is to eat a fruit or vegetable
based on the color of the day.
Thursday -
September 27th
YELLOW/ORANGE
DAY! Today P.A.C. (Pack
Assorted Colors) Week continues and the colors for the day are yellow or
orange. By eating a variety of colors
of fruits and veggies you can get the broadest range of nutrients. Some good foods to eat today for
yellow-orange day are baby carrots, dried apricots or an orange. Tomorrow we will finish up P.A.C. Week with
Green Day.
Friday -
September 28th
GREEN DAY - Today P.A.C. (Pack Assorted Colors) Week
concludes and the color for the day is green.
Even when P.A.C. Week ends, remember to eat a variety of different
colors of fruits and veggies to get the most nutrients for your body. Some good foods to eat for green day are
celery sticks, broccoli florets or a crisp green apple. Thanks for participating in P.A.C. Week and
keeping healthy!
6. SERVICE HOURS AVAILABLE – The BRIDGE Fitness Program is seeking volunteers to help out during this school year on Wednesdays from 1:15-2:00 (for those of you who have an open 6th period). You would be working with Sue Steindorf and Karen Kilbane and helping their learning disabled students at Ordway play soccer, Aikido, gymnastics, weight lifting, dance, baseball, and track. You do not need to be an expert in any of these sports, and you can volunteer once, twice, or all year. If interested, please call Karen at 780-6707 or leave me an email at kkilbane@bainbridge.wednet.edu. If you call, leave me a voice mail with your phone number.
