STUDENTS
1. Attention Students! Earn your
community service hours early! Bainbridge Youth Services needs
your help with an upcoming program. You can work all of these dates or
just one. Please stop by the BYS office for more information or to sign
up. You can also email Michele at
jobs@bainbridgeyouthservices.org or call 206-842-9675. Dates and times we need help: October
9th from 5:30pm-7pm, October
16th from 5:30pm-7pm, October
23rd from 5:30pm-7pm ,
October 30th from 5:30pm-7pm, November 6th from 5:30pm-7pm, November 13th from 5:30pm-7pm.
2. The ASVAB Aptitude test and Career Exploration
program will be administered Friday, October 26, from 8:45 am to approximately
noon. Sign up in the main office or see
Mr. Anderson in Room 104.
3. SENIORS - The next Senior Project advisory
meeting is set for this Wednesday at 11:40 am. This is a half-day early dismissal. You need to meet with your advisor in his/her classroom or
office. Remember this is a graduation
requirement this year! There have
been some changes regarding advisors so check with any teacher to see an
updated list of student advisors.
4. Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Save the Date! The
PSAT/PLAN exams will be held at BHS on Saturday, Oct. 20th @ 8:00 am. Sign ups for these exams will begin October
1st and run through October 11th. Sign
up and pay with Sarah Spray in the main office. Make check payable to BHS for $17 and indicate which exam you
will take on your check. The PSAT is
designed for juniors and the PLAN is designed for sophomores. If you are a sophomore who has completed
Geometry, you can choose to take either the PLAN or the PSAT. The week of October 8th, counselors will be
visiting your English classes to discuss which exam is appropriate for
you. See your counselor if you have
questions.
5. The Annual staff needs your Summer Photos for the yearbook. Please turn all photos into the Summer Photo box in the office. Attention seniors: we need your Looking Back photos. Turn into the Looking Back box in the office. All photos due no later than October 1st. Thanks!
6. STUDENT PARKING: starting today, we will begin selling the remaining parking permits. Look for Stacy, starting at 8:30am, and continuing during break and lunch. Senior and juniors, first come, first serve. Carpool not necessary.

MEETINGS
1. College visits: today, 8:45am, Gonzaga University (WA)
2. Nantes Exchange meeting is today, Rm
301 at 3:00 pm. This will be a longer meeting. It is very important you attend. We will know matches as we
have their itinerary. We will discuss pick up times in the evening, early
morning departures, lunches, first orientation meeting and help plan the
welcome reception. YOU MUST BE
THERE. Also, we will spend some time getting to know one
another. We are traveling together and we may as well start now.
SPORTS
1. The Park District has offered a gymnastics class for high school
gymnasts. The class is Tuesday and
Thursday from 3:15- 4:45. Cost is
$111.00. The class begins Oct. 2 - Nov 8.
Mrs. Guy has sent up an information letter. They are in the office.
2. HOME TODAY: boys/girls golf vs. Nathan Hale, 3:00 (exc. 2:15); varsity girls soccer vs. W. Seattle, 5:15pm; volleyball vs. Holy Names, 4:45/4:45/6:00.
3. Please excuse the following Spartans: girls swim/dive at 1:25; jv girls soccer at 1:25pm.
4. Boys interested in playing lacrosse this spring, please attend a meeting today after school in the new gym foyer. It’s a captains meeting and all are welcome!
