STUDENTS

1. ASB executive council meeting will be Wednesday at 9:00am in the LGI; general assembly 9:45am.

2. STUDENTS: please, we need all of you to help us out. If you are not buying lunch, PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE LINES and out of the FOOD SERVICE AREA. The same goes for the snack lines at break and lunch. IT’S TOO CROWDED AND LOUD AND THE CASHIERS CAN’T HEAR!!

Also, we need you to stop crowding in front of lines. If you help us by obeying these simple rules, we have we can get you through much faster.

Also, please exit the lunchroom either up the stairs or out the corner doors in the gym. When we have the snack lines going, it again causes too much confusion. Sincerely, Mrs. Hoppis and thank you for your help and understanding.

3. Commodore Students' Recess/Wall Ball -- In support of our efforts to be "good neighbors" with the students who attend the Commodore Options School, we do request that BHS students avoid disrupting the elementary student recess activities. It would be particularly helpful to not use the "small person" wall ball game just outside of the kitchen/serving area as a walking route. Your sensitivity and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

4. Upcoming College Visits to BHS – Get permission from teacher and then sign up one day in advance in the counseling office:

MEETINGS

1. SENIORS: AP English teacher Ann Munro will offer a workshop on college essay writing tonight from 7-8:30 p.m. in CMDR 504.

3. Attention all Math Clubbers: Our picture will be taken after school Weds. in Commodore 007. We will also practice for our first tournament. See you at 3:00 p.m.

4. For all students interested in joining History Club and competing in this year’s National History Day competition there is a meeting TODAY in Mr. Taylor’s room, 3:00. Come and learn about this opportunity and see what’s involved in competing in this year’s competition. *Notice for all Juniors: This year competing in History Day is an option for American Studies Honors credit. Anyone interested in pursing this should come to the meeting on Tuesday.

5. ALL LANGUAGE CLUB OFFICERS AND INTERESTED MEMEBERS: This Thursday, meet in Mm. Unruh's classroom to decorate table clothes and other stuff for the Nantes reception. IMPORTANTE!  The reception is Monday, Oct. 22nd in the blue room of the gym.  EXCHANGE STUDENTS ARE INVITED, TOO!

6. Chess Club moves to Thursdays after school. All new and returning players, get together in Commodore 513, Dr. Swanson's room, to continue working on your games. Every Thursday after school.

1. HOME TODAY: girls varsity soccer vs. Eastside Catholic, 5:15pm.
2. Please excuse the following Spartans: girls jv soccer at 1:25; volleyball at 2:10 (leave Ordway at 2:20/2:55W); boys varsity golf at Metro.
