1. SENIORS: AP English teacher Ann Munro will offer a
workshop on college essay writing next Tuesday, October 16, from 7-8:30 p.m. in
CMDR 504.
2. Sra. Fuentes and Sra. Beck are taking a trip
to Costa Rica over Spring Break and need a minimum of 12 students.
Applications and $295 are due to either teacher by Thursday, OCT. 11.

3. Josten’s will be here to take your cap & gown orders today and Thursday during both lunches in the lower gym

5. The PSAT and PLAN tests
will be given on Oct. 20th at 8:00 am at BHS. Pay $17 with a
check made out to BHS to Sarah Spray before Thursday, October 11th. If you do
not pay by this date, you will be charged an additional 5$ late fee and
run the risk of missing out on this opportunity.
6. ATTENTION: JUNIORS & SENIORS - Due
to a family emergency, the Oberlin Rep will not be coming to BHS today.

MEETINGS
1. College visits: Today:
9:00am - University of Washington. The College Rep Visit for UW this
morning is filled. Only those students who signed up on the list by
Tuesday afternoon will be admitted. Teachers: please do not give
permission for students asking on Wednesday morning. No notes will be
accepted since there are already so many student attending who signed up on
time.

Math Clubbers: there’s an ASMA test
today after school in room 007. New
members welcome.

questions are -- when asked all in a row?! If you answered yes to any of the previous questions, then Speech
and Debate is for you! There will
be a Speech and Debate meeting after school today in Dr. Swanson's room,
Commodore 513. Newcomers are
welcome.
3. Don't
miss this great chance to visit Turkey! Ms. Goetsch and Ms. Sullivan are
taking 12 students to Turkey during Spring Break. Interested? Come
to a brief meeting this Thursday 3-3:15 in Ms. Goetsch's room, Commodore
2. This is a non-school sponsored trip.
4. All new and returning National Honor Society members, this is an important
announcement! There will be a general
meeting next Monday on October 15th, right after school in the Lower Gym. Make sure you're there to get all the
details for the coming year's events and service. Don't miss it!
