BLOOD DRIVE in the gym blue room – Please consider giving!!

STUDENTS

1.         Meeting Reminder:  all students going to Nantes!  Mandatory meeting this Thursday, November 15 at 2:55 p.m. in room 301.  Agenda: Student survey on French visit and information on potential points of interest.  If you want a voice in helping plan the Nantes excursion please attend!

2.         Hey Spartans:  So do you want to Mix it Up?   What is Mix it Up?  It's an activity that happens across the nation in November that encourages people to cross lines and meet new people.  We're planning on hosting it this Thursday during both lunches.  Look for our "greeters" that will be dressed in Spartan colors asking you to pick a card and sit at one of our designated tables in the Cafeteria to mix it up, meet new people, have fun and be eligible for a door prize.

3.         Students interested in meeting students from other Kitsap high schools and discussing issues related to school life, see Mr. Anderson in Room 104.   Olympic Interhigh meeting is TODAY.

4.         Notice all Native American students:  last chance to sign up for the Opportunity Fair scheduled for Friday, November 16.  Native American students who are interested in this event, please stop by the Indian Education Coordinator’s office located in BYS office in the Commodore school building.

5.         Student Drivers:  a warning that both St. Cecilia’s and Safeway have called to ask us please, PLEASE, do not park in their parking lots.  These are NOT to be used by students – be forewarned – they DO have the authority to tow your car.  Thanks!  For the most part, all of you are doing a great job carpooling!

6.         Note:  We may have Whitman reschedule sometime; also we may have US Merchant Marine Academy rep coming to BHS....stay tuned for a bulletin announcement if these happen.

7.         If you need community service hours, there are opportunities this Friday and Saturday afternoon, November 16/17 related to the Just Know Forum at Woodward.  Please stop by the office and talk with Mrs. Ferguson/Mrs. Silver and they will give you the contact information.

 

MEETINGS
1.         Math Study Lab Monday, Tuesday, Thursday afternoons in Commodore 3.  An extra day for you to get some help with your math questions. 

2.         There is a GSA meeting today right after school in Ms. Moore’s room (409).

3.         Photography Club meets every Tuesday from 3-4pm in Mr. Barfield’s room!  Come take photos with us and learn about photography!

 

SPORTS

1.         Student and/or student-athletes interested in understanding more about the upcoming athletic league alignment decision are encouraged to attend informational meetings during 1st and 2nd lunch this Thursday, November 15th in Mr. Taylor’s room (328).  Ms. Duvall will share data and answer any questions students might have.  The student’s perspective on this issue is valued and we want to provide an opportunity for those interested to understand and share their thoughts around the factors and variables in this important, yet complex decision.

2.         1st semester Independent PE students – please make plans to meet with Ms. Duvall today during break, 1st or 2nd lunch or after school.  Thanks.

3.         Would all volleyballers stop by Layton's room to get the specific details about the banquet this Friday?  Thank you.

4.         There will be a meeting for all high school boys and parents interested in the boys' lacrosse program at the high school on Monday, November 19th in room 328-329 from 7:00 to 8:30pm.   Registration begins online on 11/20/07.  Website is:  www.bainbridgelax.com.
