STUDENTS

1.         "Cash for College Night" by Frank Warner -- sponsored by the PTSO on Thursday, November 8th at 7:00 PM in Room 328-329.

2.         KING 5 news flash – film of the cherry tree removal process last spring will be be shown on Evening Magazine tonight at 7pm.

3.         FASHION MATTERS:  renewable clothes for the conscious consumer.  This fall two students from Bainbridge HS are creating a line of clothes made from vintage, reused fabrics at an attempt to begin a legacy of conscious fashion in this community.  Late this winter the line will be presented to the community in the form of a fund raising fashion show.  Through Global Giving all proceeds from the event will go towards teaching Afghan women how to sew and have a form of income.  You can help by donating fabric, old clothes, or money.  Collecting material/clothes in Mr. Taylor’s room on the air hockey table.  If interested, please contact Melanie Trygg or Hillary Grant.

4.         Seniors & Juniors:  The Whitman College rep rescheduled her BHS visit to today (one week earlier than the original plan) and we believe that some of you did not get the message.  If you were hoping to meet with the Whitman rep, she said she would come back later in the month if there is enough interest.  Please let Ruby Howing in the counseling office know if you would like her to come back and we will call and reschedule.  Thanks for your patience!

5.         TTENTION ALL SENIORS:  This is a gentle, but firm reminder from the counselors to please look now at the postmark deadline dates for each of the colleges to which you want to apply.  If you need us to write a letter of recommendation for you, then you must give us four school weeks before we have to put them into the mail so we can do a good job for each of you!  Don't forget to make an appointment with your counselor when you turn in your forms to Ms. Howing so we can go over all your requests.  Thanks so much for helping us help you....

6.         Math Study Lab session Thursday afternoon from 2:50 pm to 3:45 pm.  An extra day for you to get some help with your math questions.  See you there.....Commodore Room 3.
