STUDENTS

1.         Just a reminder to all our Spartan fans about these standards for our home events:

·       No Backpacks

·       No outside liquid containers, opened or unopened

·       No reentry

·       Respectful behavior during the National Anthem

·       Entrance and exits are foyer doors only

Our fan support for our team was terrific Tuesday in spite of a few opportunities that the opponent provided for the mighty Spartans to respond to.  Your choice to refrain from "booing" and their flag was OUTSTANDING and the standard Bainbridge HS is striving for.  Let's have a terrific winter season with our school support!

2.         TODAY is National AIDS Awareness Day.  We are taking a picture at break in the main gym.  Stop by the office and pick up a green ribbon to show your support for someone you know that is HIV positive, has AIDS, or has died of AIDS

3.         *STUDY ABROAD* - AFS Intercultural Programs for high school students.  Informational meeting- *Tuesday December 4th*, 6:30-8:00PM at the Poulsbo, Public Library (700 NE Lincoln Rd).  Question? Contact Linda Sohlberg 842-1119  WyldwoodDogs@gmail.com  (Community sponsored)

4.         We've completed our study process for league alignment and based on the information and feedback we have received, the decision has been made to not pursue membership to another league.  Detailed information about our process can be found on the school website.  We appreciate the student and staff feedback and participation in our survey.  GO SPARTANS!

5.         Want to be a super model??  Bainbridge Youth Services is hosting a series of photo shoots on Saturday, Dec. 8th at 10:00am; Monday, Dec. 10th at 3:00pm and Weds., Dec. 13th at 3:00pm at the BYS office (Commodore, Rm. 5).  Choose any one of the 90 minute sessions.  Photos will be used for display boards and future BYS promotion materials.  ALL students under 18 must have a photo release signed by a parent/guardian (available at BYS office).  Bring a friend!  Stop by the BYS office and sign up!  As always, thanks for your support!

6.         The 6th annual Solstice Run, sponsored by Island Fitness and Go Run! will be held Saturday, December 8th.  The Solstice Run organizers would be quite appreciative of any early-rising, hard-workin' BHS students able and willing to help put on our 5k and 1 mile race (complete with kiddie dashes).  The 1 mile fun run/walk, 5 K race (3.1 miles), and kids dashes start and finish in Town Square of City Hall Park, Bainbridge Island.  Registration forms are available online at www.island-fitness.com.  Or pick one up at Island Fitness, Poulsbo Running, Island Sports, and other local sports stores and fitness clubs.  Jobs include:  directing runners to stay on course, directing traffic away from runners, water station assistants, making hot chocolate, passing out refreshments, gently herding young children.  Perks include:  hot chocolate, t-shirt, fresh air, volunteer hours.  Call Anne, 718-2665, for the details.
