It is the season for musicals and anything goes at BHS! The Bainbridge High School drama department is proud to present the Cole Porter American classic, Anything Goes, in six performances from May 2-18. Lacrosse
The BHS girls lacrosse team will begin playoffs next week. Since we are the #1 seed in the tournament, we will play the winner of the Mercer Island vs. Tacoma playoff game Thursday, May 15 at 6pm @ Bainbridge Stadium.
Boys lacrosse finished another undefeated season with a 16-3 win over Skyline Wednesday. Saturday they will play Issaquah in an attempt to secure a second straight state championship. Tournament Bracket
Tennis
Tennis completed the Metro League tournament with 2 players advancing to the SeaKing District Tournament beginning next Tuesday.
Freshman, Grace Porter, placed 3rd in girls singles and Sophomore, Dylan Skeffington, placed 7th in boys singles. They will play next Tuesday at 8:30 am at Lower Woodland Park courts.
Also by a vote of Metro League coaches Bainbridge Tennis earned the Joe Flickinger Team Sportsmanship Award for this season. Congrats to our great tennis players!
Fastpitch
Fastpitch earned the Metro #2 slot into the Sea-King District II tournament and will play Thursday, May 15, at Marymoor Park against either Skyline or Chief Sealth @ 2:00pm. They will also compete Friday, May 16, @ 12:00pm, 2:00pm, and possibly 4:00pm in their quest to qualify for one of four state berths.
In addition to this team accomplishment, the Seattle PI posted the Area's Top 10 Fastpitch players and our very own Haylee Baker is one of them! She is one of 2 Sophomore's in a group of 6 Seniors and 1 Junior. Check out the Spartan Fastpitch page for stats and schedules or the online gallery.
Boys Soccer
With their Saturday win, boys soccer moves on to state game against Capital HS @ Ingersoll Stadium on Tuesday May 13th @ 7:00pm in the first round of the state soccer tournament.
Track
Metro League Championships were held last Friday at Chief Sealth. We have 24 tracksters who will be moving on to the District Meet starting Wednesday, May 14 and concluding on Friday, May 16 @ Chief Sealth. Moving on are: Emilee Agosta, Lizzie Brackett, Trevor Brown, Anthony Carter, Cheyne Clark, Kelly Crane, Griffin Dunn, Emily Farrar, Lauren Fleming, Austin Hallett, Janes Herman, Anna Kaminski, Molly O'Keefe, Courtney O'Dell, Kiyle Plater, Zane Sackett, Maddy Sheldon, Ian Shiach, Sylvia Stellmacher, Kyle Szarzynkski, Stephen Vassiliadis, Ryan Vogel, Drew Wickens, and Theresa Johansen.
